    BBC now report he has been moved out of intensive care and into the high dependency unit. Seems to be wavering in and out of consciousness. Clarkson was in and "insulted Hammond's driving style", which got a smile. Sounds positive anyway, although I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't come back to Top Gear.

    Report in the Times yesterday said that he had eaten Corn Flakes and had recognised co-presenter, James May (is that his name?).
