Are they seriously that hard up for a plot that they have to make something like that up.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

I nearly gave myself a hernia with the disgust I felt watching the trailer.

Wow is it some kind of superhorse? Seriously, must be well over 20 years now since Spielberg made a half decent movie.

Schindler's List was 1993. Since then, there have been flickers of his ability (like the opening half hour of Saving Private Ryan), but not much I expect he'll be remembered for. Granted, I haven't seen The Terminal, but I don't think that's widely loved anyway.

Yeah was thinking that Shindlers List was the last decent flick. Thought SPR was a terrible movie, wooden acting, rubbish dialogue and apart from the special effects not much else. He does like to drown the audience in sentimental tosh

Yes he does. His insistence on saccharine endings really grates at times. War Horse, meanwhile, seems to be entirely composed of the endings of Spielberg movies.

I really don't understand why this film has got such raving reviews, I've never felt as bored by a film since Colin Farrell got himself trapped in a phonebox!
