    Castlebar Celtic signed two players

So dykes has sign 2 former sligo rovers players for the erris game and they is suppose to be a mayo based player to be signed shortly, he must not like what is there already? i wonder how is that going down with the existing players in the team!! still think he produce the goods there but it won't be this season in the league, maybe a cup competition......

Celtic are a powder keg which will sooner or later go off. Dykes has already burnt a lot of bridges and I cant see these new players getting any rousing reception.P.S whos the mayo based player.

    Celtic

My guess would be Joey Maloney. Formerly of Ballinrobe Town, then played with Sligo. Now playing with Ballyheane. Was a suitor for Manulla as well and eventually went for Ballyheane.

Not J.Maloney as Ballyheane definetly dont pay players. As for Peter Bourke I would say he would rather retire!

    celtic

I see everyone thinks it is an existing player, why so ? Neary or Burke to Celtic - Well they better start paying and the money them lads would want to leave their clubs celtic could not afford. Funny notion though.
This new man has a big task on board if the Two Sligo + One Mayo + One unretired equals 4 = a lot of unhappy campers on Celtic. But to be brutually honest they had only a handfull of quality players before and a lot of hatchetmen who hoof the ball into the swimming pool and get applauded for it if there was a salmon river in castlebar and jack lived here instead of Ballina I might understand then their long ball tactics but now i think a major change may be in the offing !!! a lot of money to pay for what is so bleeding obvious !!!

Every week you predict a score for every game in the mayo league. If you get the right result(W-D-L) you get 1 point. If you get it wrong you lose 1 point and if you get the correct score e.g Snugboro 2-0 Celtic, you get 3 points. Also if you predict a 1-0 and the score is actually 2-1 you get 1 point for the win and another for the goal difference. You can also place a banker to double the score of one particular match and place insurance on a result you are not sure of.
Correct Result--- No Yes Yes Yes
Correct Goal Diff- No No Yes Yes
Correct Score---- No No No Yes
    Points----------- -1 1 2 3
    Bnk-------------- -2 2 4 6
    Ins--------------- 0 1 2 3
    Bnk + Ins--------- 0 2 4 6
haey joe ya i think the comp is a godd idea just think maybe ur makin it just a little too complicated y dont we just make our predictions from the super league 1 point for correct pred(w l d) and another for a correct score result wot u think ? think it would b better for everyone as we all knowthe super league the best..

    joe_denilsons predictions

    Ballina Town 1-1 Ballyheane
    Castlebar Celtic 2-1 Erris United
Manulla 3-1 Straide & Foxford United
    Swinford 0-2 Snugboro United
    Westport United 3-0 Glenhest

As joe joe said, just the super league. one point for correct result, one point for correct score, so a maximum of 10 points every week.

Fair play to Joe Joe for the Westport prediction anyway! A fairly impressive piece of propheticism! Well done to Snugboro too, they are getting the points chalked up! Good win for our boys in Crossmolina, goes to show the Premier is up for grabs, with Celtic B incapable of going up!! So, who is ahead in the prediction stakes after the first round?

    Premier Division

    Fahyforever,
well done yestarday and yes it is very tight in this division as celtic b can't be promoted and it would be good to see yourself and ballyglass coming up. The superleague is hotting up too but westport still the team to beat although ballyheane (11), ballina (11), manulla (10), and erris (10) will have something to say about that. And well done to snugboro, the best team in the capital of mayo!!!
it was a good game in swinford but the ref lost his head along the way!!!!!! two men sent off and there wasn't a bad tackle in the game, even johann could see over the colours of the rainbow in his face he one strong lad, came on even with the state of his nose.
westport b and claremorris the teams to beat in division 1, the two b's in the premier division next year, now that would be fun
Lacken still the team in 2A i think.

    Referees !!!

A great W/E for the port, others stumbling, Good win for the Boro should be safe now, Manulla robbed S&F by all accounts, the Ref got a good earfull from the opposition afterwards - second week in a row that the teams playing Manulla feel unjustifiably treated after the game. I wonder Why ? !!!!! . Is there a sinister plot being unfolded. What is everybody else's opinion on this sore topic, or are these clubs being paranoid

poor ref at swinford v snugboro game

i thought the ref was poor in this game, it was a good clean game yet 2 players, one from each side was sent off and there was not one bad tackle in the game
