That was us last season and I concur it is a thoroughly miserable experience…..

There have been Longford crowds that I would really question this year, in fact there is one game where I had multiple photos of all areas of the ground, and could count every head in the ground, and it was nowhere near what was announced. Did lat night's crowd feel accurate to those in attendance?

Rumour has it that Cork have been given 300 tickets (by rule only entitled to 120) and given the entire North terrace covered section. Very poor decision from the club if this is the case given that’s where the Kerry FC Ultras go and to be fair they have done a huge amount to generate an atmosphere at the ground.
I hope rumour is not accurate as a new club like Kerry that’s trying to create an atmosphere as well as community support owes a lot to the cohort of Ultras that attend week in and week out.
I would honestly be shocked if the club made this move.

Yeah I do find it accurate. Wexford had a good away following which boosted it a bit!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Apparently, the North Terrace is the designated away section of the ground, but because there hasn't been a club with a sizeable travelling support before now, the Ultras have been allowed to effectively go wherever they wanted for most games.

Yeah alot of crocodile tears. Think they were initially in the east terrace but moved to the North Terrace as as you said because away crowds were small. It was always going to be an issue as soon as there was sufficient demand from an away support to fill the North Terrace.

Treaty sold out the away section for 2 out of 3 visits to Kerry and would have sold more, think the remainder opted for the stand.

Thought it looked fairly small on LOITV alright. Only once last season had they an attendance as low as this one.

If it was Oriel Park i'd totally accept rain as a reason to stay home, but at the much vaunted Tallaght Stadium rain is more excuse! Monday night will always be a lower attendance but thats a 2nd game in a row that there has been a significant fall off. Other clubs have had a drop off too so this weekend figures will be interesting to see.

Has been a rough ride this season for Town fans. Lost all of our home games so far, and only a couple of home performances that were ok. The club is a 100 years old this year, and we havent been this poor in over 25 seasons, we spent most of the first 15 years in the league in the bottom spots in first div, but not since then. Crowds are small and not likely to pick up unless we get a result or two. Its a shame for our centenary that we dont have anything to shout about on the pitch. I'm sure other first div clubs know what I mean by how the playoffs keep your season alive and keeps interest until late in the season, sometimes 8 clubs of 10 can be in the mix for that, but sadly we are not going to be one of those.

And in a county where GAA has traditionally struggled to make a notable impression on the provincial scene, let alone the national one, LTFC are even more critical to the area as sporting standard-bearers, so a revival would be welcome, though hopefully not at our expense!

I'd guess about 200 of that were down from Drogheda to support their Drogs team!

So that's about 1,200 officially and probably 1,500 really if they allow all the Cork fans in that are heading down!

From my gathering, the Kerry FC "Ultras" were allowed to move over to the North Terrace from the club for matches with low away support but now they are being sent back to the East terrace for the game due to the high Volume or Cork City support. With Corks recent match vs Longford where flares were thrown and with a higher saftey issues risk of that, its the right decision. A decision that the "Ultras" dont like so now they are bashing the club on their social media platforms.

Exactly. The club hasn't done anything wrong here. The North Terrace is designated for away supporters. It's as simple as that. Ultras thowing their toys out of the pram but not too concerned about other non Tralee based supporters when it comes to bus arrangements etc.
