Yes, youse are all right, as you were all along.
Doesn't seem any point in continuing now, 111 years come to an inglorious end. Sad, but that's life.
Can we come and support Cork, or maybe Bohs, now we won't have anything to do on Friday nights?
Dear Fintan Cassidy,
I extend a personal invitation to you, a man associated with one of Ireland's most prestigous and prominent clubs, to come forth and offer yours views on this topic.
Thank you.

Oh sweet Jesus, is that all you can come up with? Over the last year we have saved our club and it took blood, sweat and tears not to mention hundreds of thousands of euros. It was painful but not as painful as the previous 2 decades. You should be learning lessons from happened to us.Originally Posted by sfc red
Now Bohs are about to put up an almighty fight for their club's future as are Pats. And I wish both of them well. All you lot can do is gloat when you are in no position to do so.
Wake up Shels fans.

Another thought -
If Revenue are bringing this petition (as they clearly are) it hints very strongly that the company is seriously insolvent. It also hints that Ollie (director) continued to trade while insolvent. This is an indictable offence under the Companies Acts and could well lead to him being banned from acting as a company director for a period (could even lead to a jail term if it's bad enough, but that sounds unlikely given the company was solvent up to May 04 according to the Auditors' Report). If Shels, in the worst case scenario, do go bankrupt, I'd say Ollie won't be allowed near them if they reform and take their own place in the league (probably elected to the Premier on marketability grounds ).

Sheliban, you're more than welcome to the Cross.
Sure, drag Ndo and Kearney down with ya!
Jayo should be left to lull over his poor decisions.

im just wondering, why, outside of this forum, has this not been mentioned anywhere? are we getting ahead of ourselves here, when rovers hit the rocks it was all over the news, why not so now?? if that petition was published, its not as if it isnt known to at least the paper it was published in...
arent we all just magic little monkeys...
Good point monkey magic.
Do this crowd have a little stake in Shels or ARE they Shels?
And if they are, what does that mean?
Ollie and his crew out and a mass sell-off of the squad?

Employee cannot work until a different company is granted a work permit bby Dept. of Enterprise, Trade and Employment. It would be treated as a fresh application. new company would have to prove that previous holder of work permit (old company) was no longer trading and had been wound up.Originally Posted by Peadar

I think the reason why shels fans are not posting is because they don’t fully understand what's going on. Seems like there is very little detail out at the moment and unlike all you lot who are just dying to see shels go bust and are making up stories its probably best we wait for more info.
Already from the small news item the theory is that shels have another company name on their licence
Your all reading too much into things at the moment, I'll wait for the press release tonight before I comment either way.

All this is a bit over my head. in lay mans terms are Shels in serious risk of going bust ?
I would assume that this is not too public yet as Shels unlike Rovers when it happened to them are not making it public. Sports journo's don't go to the high court unless they know in advance and neither the revenue or Shels made it public. Its only public now as the Revenue have had to make is to after the first hearing and before th next. Also even now most journo's/ fans would now know who/what Accolade were, there is no direct reference to Shels as such. However as the CRO/ auditors report/ players contracts show accolade is Shels and still is, so being threatened to be wound up has to be some what serious.
I am sure there is some reason for this but for it to go to these levels is crazy. I know Bohs/Pats and Shels were all audited by the revenue earlier this year, I know in our case we had to pay a lot and agree to pay the rest and action was nearly taken. But for it to go to this stage, Shels either are not playing ball or making a point. And its a dangerous game to play to make a point. Still cannot fathom how Accolade has a current TCC yet the revenue are trying to wind it up. They just don't sit right with each other.
One of directors paid a six figure sum to revenue to basically save us. A repayment plan was agreed (and has been adhered to) we obviously still owe them a fortune but we're on the right road...Originally Posted by chippie0001

I don't see that this has implications necessarily for Shels to continue to exist as clubs have aften closed one company & sold contracts to another company. However this was all before the Uefa licencing & seems a lot of questions to answer based on that & the biggest one is...
- How did Shels get a club licence this season?
Reallys smacks of Rovers deja vu to me. FAI club licencing clearly a complete joke. Who audits the company accounts?
Seems minimum 8 point deduction like Rovers last year.
