I hear that Aiden Doyle, who was in charge of marketing, has left his position.
The Job spec is here, from the FAI website
I also saw it advertised in the S.Indo

"It's time for the FAI to grow up." John O'Donoghue, Minister for Sport, RTE , Sunday 7 Nov 2004
If the FAI applied their own standards to the top jobs....
OK, to avoid getting sued by certain people in the FAI's past and present administrations I'll pass no comment on this one - you can all fill in the blanks yourselves.QUALIFICATIONS
1. CHARACTER:
Each candidate shall be of good character.
Unfortunately this would seem to rule out Uncle Sir Bobby.2. HEALTH:
Candidates shall be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
I think this means that the FAI view this role as more important than the international team manager *COUGH*3. PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential:
Marketing Qualification
3 Years Relevant experience;
Track record in team management, especially managing remote workers would be useful.
A good understanding of the structure of the game in Ireland in particular the eircom League
Innovative and strategic thinker, self-motivated and enthusiastic
Proven capability to work to tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills
Competence in IT systems
Full Driving Licence
To be fair to Stan, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on his strategic thinking, time management and IT skills. Although, as a former professional footballer, he may not still have his full driving license...
