Disgraceful attitude but not surprised by rtengland's stance. Slag TV3 all you want but at least they have a dedicated programme for the league. Our national broadcaster never bothered their arse. Eircom league fans are license payers too.

Wouldnt waste your time corresponding with them. Like having a conversation with a barstooler. Pointless

    Exactly it.

Same with the Radio 1 coverage. Its being done by people who know the league.

RTE television don't know the league.

Just wondering ..... do people pay their licenses ??
You just read a response from them, completely unreasonable to a paying customer yet they still take your license fee ...... is paying your license fee actually a good move ??

The FAI need to set up a media company and sell packages to RTE. The bulk of RTEs programme is done that way now. Good example is Prime Times Miriam O'Callaghan, quality programme, independant, quality stuff.

That imo is the only way we are going ot continue ensure there is a good standard of programming for Irish football. I have been saying it for years .... the old (unsuccessful) way is not working ..... a complete change of attitude and approach is whats called for. The FAI need to come out of the clouds and sort this fĂșcking thing out.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Why did the FAI ask RTE to show THIS match. Surely RTE pick the games they want to show to get the highest ratings

IMO RTE are shooting themselves in the foot as Setanta are making a lot of progress so I can see situation where RTE start to lose CL, Premiership & International rights & at that stage will have p!ssed off the eL so much could be sent packing.

I think the viewing figures for eL matches have been good in recent years - some better some worse than others but thats to be expected when show 1 match & then none for next 3 months with little promotion...

By law RTE have to reply to complaints (including emails).
