Think the Shels fine is down to Nutsy refusing to give some post-match interviews , as agreed.
Cant argue with the decision regarding a replacement 'keeper for Drogs. Different situation if it were due to injury.

Final venue not decided.
Shels fined 2000 euro + another 3000 but suspended pending future conduct.
Drogs not allow call in replacement keeper.

Another blow to Shelbourne's self appointed title as "the most professional club in Ireland"Originally Posted by iceman
A TV company pumps big money into the game and reasonably requests pre and post match interviews with managers.
Shels repeatedly don't comply with this agreements for some reason, probably because they didn't like the result of the match

To be honest i couldn't give a toss about what Nutsy does but if it starts effecting the rest of us then there is a problem. I mean a fine is the result of his actions but its actually the interview they wanted, not all this fúcking about. I hope he doesn't start píssing off the one station that has seen fit to invest in our game in the last few years.Originally Posted by paudie

If Linfield are in the Final it will be up in NI. If two EL clubs likely to be Tolka?
I dont actually know the story, is it every second year unless its two IL clubs or two eL clubs ??Originally Posted by Dassa

Just going on last year 1 IL and 1EL team and it was Dublin surely Belfast would then have its turn if 1 from each, but I dont actually know, just guessing.
If it's a Linfield v Cork final I'd say City will push hard for the final to be in Dublin.Originally Posted by Dassa
It'll be the day before the Munster v Leinster rugby Euro Cup semi so City will say there will a bigger crowd at the game if it's on in Dublin.
Linfield will obviously look for it to be played in Belfast having played in Dublin last year.

City may well want it in Dublin if both teams get that far, but fairness suggests it should be in Belfast.Originally Posted by paudie
Complicated arguements involving a rugby game the day wouldn't wash with the organisers. If the promise of hordes of rugby fans hanging around fior an extra day and thronging to see a footbnall match 24hrs later really is that important an issue, Belfast is less than 2 hours up the road from Dublin. Yees can spend the night in Ath cliath and head up to Windsor afterwards.
Anyways - premature discussion, given no-one's in the Final yet....
The only thing we know for certain is if Drogheda somehow win in Windsor then final will be in Tolka.
Is it definately set for Tolka? If it has to be in the Republic could we not move it around a bit?Originally Posted by pete
I see your point but where the final was held last year has no relevance to City unless all clubs knew before the comp started that an IL/EL final this year would be in Belfast. I'm not sure if that was the case.Originally Posted by dcfcsteve
If not City would be entitled to argue for Dublin.Belfast is closer to Dublin than Cork is so City wouldn't be gaining a huge advantage over Linfield.
Setanta's views come into it as well. Would they prefer a 30% full Windsor Pk on live TV or a 80-100% Tolka?
Of course all the above speculation is premature as you said
I'm what? I'm ants at a picnic?
I'm surprised by this to be honest. If there was a problem I tought it would be better to resolve it quietly without any negative public comment.
Shelbourne - Television liaison issues
The Setanta Sports Cup Committee decided to fine Shelbourne the sum of EUR5,000 for persistent non co-operation in relation to television and liaison issues. The Committee suspended EUR3,000 of this fine subject to there being no further adverse reports in relation to the club for the remainder of its participation in this year's Tournament.
But maybe they tried that but had to go public a la revenue to get Shels to move...

Maybe but I would have thought that the 5,000 euro fine would have been enough.Originally Posted by Dodge

The SSC committee overstepped the mark, the sanction against Shels is being withdrawn.
Media Statement:
Having considered correspondence from Shelbourne FC in relation to the imposition of a €5,000 fine (€3,000 suspended) in relation to television liaison issues, the Setanta Sports Cup Committee has decided to defer its decision and withdraw the fine imposed, and has now invited Shelbourne FC to attend a meeting of the Committee to discuss these matters. The meeting will take place in Dundalk on Tuesday 16th May.

What was the fine originally imposed for?
Dangerous for Shels to be looking for resignations in their current impending homlessness state.
