Keely slams Menton revelations
Dermot Keely, who managed Shelbourne during the registration fiasco that saw the Reds handed the title on a technicality in early 2002, has slammed the newly-published book of former FAI chief Brendan Menton.
Menton has vowed to lift the lid on more than half a decade of scandals and controversies inside the governing body of Irish soccer with his new book, Beyond the Green Door – Six Years Inside the FAI.
However, Menton – who lost his position as general secretary of the Association in the wake of last year’s post-World Cup Genesis report – has succeeded only in bringing further scandal upon himself, as Keely asserts.
