If there is big investment it WILL incresase crowds. No doubt

    How, exactly?
The Englishmen came over in the year 2005
But little did they know that we'd planned a wee surprise
Sir David scored the winner, and Windsor Park went wild
And this is what we sang...

I think that is somewhat over simplistic, to be honest.

    Really?

What do you think would attract better crowds?

What attracts the better crowds to the premiership(obviously on a much bigger scale)?

Better facilities will go a long way to attracting fans, families in particular.

Better players will lead to better football and eventually better results in Europe and the group stages.

City sold out the Red Star game the year before last in 5 hours.

The potential is huge, but the majority are bandwagonners. They want good exciting football and good standard of facilities.

More money also leads to better marketing again a key component in getting fans.

I'm no stato, but have crowds not been falling away in recent seasons in the English premiership?

Saturation point. Too many people from abroad coming in(daytrippers) locals getting ****ed off etc. Not feeling part of the club anymore.

Were a long long long way off that, and will never reach it.

However on a much smaller scale the thing that made the premiership so big(money and Sky) can do the same for us on a smaller scale.

Also, traditional fans being driven away over there with security restrictions on standing and the likes.

IMO to many clubs are only looking at this as a short term debt clearing exercise without fully committing to a long term strategy.

Wait until you travel North then! H&S have to be seen to be believed up here.

Be interesting to see a detailed business plan.

All we've had so far is talk.

But little did they know that we'd planned a wee surprise
