Critical moment in this game occurred as early as the fifth minute, when slack passing in the defence by Treaty allowed Wexford’s Kylie Murphy to intercept and have a free run in on goal. Kylie was then clobbered in the Treaty penalty area by Treaty’s Sarah Duke Power with a resulting peno and straight red for Power. Aoibheann Clancy converted from the spot for Wexford and, to a large extent anyway, Wexford were already home and dry. Wexford started with Nicole, Lolly, Lauren, Kylie, Abbie, Edel, Rossi, Meabh, Michaela, Nicola and Aoibheann. Prior to the penalty in the fifth minute, both sides had created good chances with Wexford’s Lolly Conlon going close for Wexford and Aoife Cronin for Treaty having a shot which went a yard wide. Wexford didn’t really capitalise on their player advantage for a lengthy spell after the sending off as their ball retention wasn’t great. It took Wexford until 27 minutes to again threaten Ulliac in the Treaty goal when Kylie Murphy broke free down Wexford’s right and her cross travelled all the way to the far post where Ciara Rossiter was able to drill it home for 2-0 to Wexford. After Wexford’s Michaela Lawrence had a header which wasn’t kept on target, Nicole Nix in the Wexford goal was called into action for the first time when having to foot-trap a Treaty effort on goal. Two nil to Wexford at halftime.

Wexford brought on Emily Corbet and Ellen Molloy at the start of the second half as Treaty continued to strive to get into the game largely through Aoife Cronin and the excellent Cara Griffin. After Ellen Molloy and Emily Corbet both went close for Wexford, a pinpoint cross by Aoibheann Clancy found Kylie Murphy in the clear and Kylie’s free header gave Ulliac no chance for 3-0. Nicole Nix then produced a good save to keep a shot by Cara Griffin from hitting Wexford’s net. Further Wexford subs were Mia Lenihan and Shauna Carroll with Jess Lawlor being the final sub for Wexford. After Emily Corbet had another great effort on goal which was just touched around the Treaty post for a Wexford corner, a fantastic run from near to far post by Kylie Murphy found Kylie free to head home the resulting corner for 4-0. Shauna Carroll was then unlucky not to grab a fifth when a good effort hit Treaty’s post and another effort on goal produced a fantastic save by Ulliac. 4-0 at fulltime with Treaty greatly hampered by having to play with ten players for 85 minutes.
