    Alonso goal v Newcastle

Anyone got a link to see this goal yet? Apparently he scored from all of "70 yars"... or so the commentator said!

Animal, thats all i can say.
Wonder what the odds on Alonso scoring this season from his own half were after yer man cleaning up with the Luton game last year at 500-1

    Terrible goal.
Harper looks like he's crawling across the floor.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

remember seeing liverpool specials at start of season. Alonso was 200/1 to do same. Thought to myself, some plonkers will probably bet it & give handy money to bookies. Now who feels the plonker

Yeah, nowhere near a great goal. If the keeper stands up he saves it.

His goal last year was 100 times better

great thinking by Alonso to hit it from there, but wonder where the keeper was standing when he hit it.

The keeper was at the other end of the pitch for his goal against Luton! He just had to aim between the posts & once he had it on target it would just roll into the goal (as it did)... This one was booted from even further inside his own half with the keeper actually standing at the right end of the pitch! - The vision, cheek & belief to even try it is worthy enough of the plaudits.

Well said, a few posts reckon it was a shoddy goal, I can't believe the begrudgers.

Alonso looks up, pings a great shot, Harper is scampering back to his line as its going over his head, ok he slips which helps the situation but it was a great goal, you can only beat whats put in front of you.
I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?

Great though it was, his two goals against Luton were better, particularly the first.

Certainly better than a particular Galactico's effort 10 years ago

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.
